Abstract

This article, the third in a concurrent series highlighting leaders who have been instrumental in shaping the profession in Canada, is an interview with William A. Borgen, a prominent leader in the Canadian counselling profession. This article focuses on Bill’s achievements during his career and his recommendations for the future of the profession in Canada. In particular, the interview provides insight, guidance, and wisdom for influencing future leaders in counselling.

  • Daniel J. Baucom, Lenoir-Rhyne University

    Daniel J. Baucom is a student in the master’s degree program in clinical mental health counselling at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina, USA. His main interests include trauma work, the ethics of diagnosis, and the dynamics of group therapy.

  • Neal D. Gray, Lenoir-Rhyne University

    Neal D. Gray is a professor of counsellor education at Lenoir-Rhyne University. His main interests are in counsellor professional identity and supervision.
