Book Review. The ideal review will have three sections that include the following information. In part I, the reviewer should describe the purpose, general content, and organization of book, and a comment about the author(s)’ background, when that information is available.

Part II should give readers a more detailed description of the book content, chapter-by-chapter or section-by-section. This section should contain some editorial comments from the reviewer about how well this content and organization achieves the author(s) purpose. Also, comment should be made on the author(s) writing style.

Part III should provide information on the personal impact of the book on the reviewer, as well as critical considerations of the relevance and usefulness of the content for readers of the Canadian Journal of Counselling and Psychotherapy, who are primarily counsellors, counselling psychologists, and counsellor educators.

Do not include reference citations to other books or resources in the review.

About the Author: Include a brief author’s note. Please follow the example below exactly:

About the Author

Tanya Mudry is an assistant professor at the University of Calgary. Her main research interests are in excessive behaviours and social practices utilizing collaborative, postmodern, discursive research approaches.

Address correspondence to Tanya Mudry, E-mail: mudryt@ucalgary.ca

Acceptance of a review for publication will be dependent on: (a) its suitability for and relevance to the counselling profession; (b) how recent the publication is, notwithstanding a compelling rationale for reviewing a book published more than 2 years ago; and (c) its overall quality based on the criteria above.

Reviews should be submitted via the Journal online system. Please go to http://cjc-rcc.ucalgary.ca/cjc/index.php/rcc
